Ascent Guides offers Canada's only packraft instructor training program. Students will become certified through the American Canoe Association (ACA), which is currently the only paddling organization in the world that has developed a packrafting specific paddling curriculum. This course will test your competencies and hone in your ability to lead and instruct beginner and intermediate paddlers as they work to advance their packrafting skills. This certification is required by all guides instructing courses and lead trips for Ascent Guides, and is rapidly becoming a mandatory certification across both Canada and the USA.
