Description

Would you like to travel away from the crowds and to venture to remote peaks? Have you looked at a map and couldn’t quite figure out how to get there, or didn’t want to get lost on the trip in or out? The Backcountry Navigation day will show you a variety of ways to navigate off trail in the backcountry. Join this course to learn how to use a GPS and follow tracks, learn how to use a map and compass effectively, learn triangulation and several other methods of navigating. We will show you how to familiarize yourself with terrain so you can know where you are at all times.
