Event Details


Sport climbing is by far the most popular style of climbing in the world. We will show you all of the tricks and techniques available, which will enable you to sport climb safely. We will cover the following topics:
  • Lead belaying
  • Checking bolts, tightening loose hardware etc.
  • Clipping draws, various techniques
  • Safe falling and rope management
  • Setting up anchors, cleaning anchors, lowering off, rappelling
  • Knots and redundancy

Event Details

As a requirement of participation with Ascent Fraser Valley Guides and Mountain School, you will be required to sign a waiver of liability prior to the beginning of the activity.

All day will be spent outside learning skills, techniques and climbing as much as possible.
