So many people today begin their climbing adventures inside a climbing gym. Have you climbed at the gym a few times and now want to expand to the outdoors, but don’t know where to start? Do you want to introduce your family to a new activity which fosters confidence, trust and patience? This course will empower you to begin this thrilling new adventure! It’s a whole new experience climbing outside and we are lucky to have world class climbing areas in our back yard. This course will teach you proper belay techniques, top rope anchor building skills, plus other competencies which will allow you to safely set up a top rope for you and your friends and give you a strong foundation for your climbing journey

Event Details

As a requirement of participation with Ascent Fraser Valley Guides and Mountain School, you will be required to sign a waiver of liability prior to the beginning of the activity.

All day will be spent outside learning skills, techniques and climbing as much as possible.
