Event Details

Big wall climbing requires a ton of gear and a lot of knowledge. Some examples of gear include cams, nuts, bolts, pitons, hand drills, porta-ledges, the list goes on and on. Want to learn how this all works? Want to know how to live on a wall for days on end? Then this course is for you. We cover all of the skills needed to safely ascend multi day climbs. Some of the topics we will include are:
  • Hauling
  • Ascending lines/ fixing lines
  • Life on a porta-ledge / anchor setups
  • Food and Bathrooms
  • Base camps
Day 1 we cover all of the skills and tools necessary, and on day 2 we do a mock big wall scenario at a local crag. You will leave this course with a good foundation of knowledge so that you can begin living the true vertical life!
