Advanced mountaineering

In depth mountaineering fundamentals.

On this course you will get an in-depth look at all topics associated with climbing big objectives in the mountains. You will cover everything from basic rock climbing techniques and anchor building, crevasse rescue skill and glacier travel techniques to route selection and weather forecasting. Some days will be spent reviewing skills, and some will be spent in the mountains climbing with a certified mountain guide, putting the skills to use.

  • Fitness requirement

    An adequate level of fitness is required. We will regularly cover 7-10 kms per day and gain upwards of 800m of elevation.


    Chilliwack River Valley, Coquihalla or Manning Park, snow and weather dependant.


    Each day will involve 8-10 hours outside, with substantial elevation gained and lost every day. If a family or group of friends are comfortable with Covid protocols, we can arrange for this course to take place at a lodge or Yurt.
